Everything the Aldenté recipe app does
Aldenté is a recipe app for iPhone and iPad that gets your saved recipes cooked. Save recipes free from TikTok, Instagram and any site, cook them with a chef who helps, plan and shop with your household, and print the keepers as a real cookbook. Here is every feature, and which plan it's on.
Save recipes from anywhere
Every TikTok, reel, pin and food blog recipe lands in one library. Saving is free on every plan, with no cap.
Save from TikTok, Instagram, Pinterest and recipe websites
FreeTap share on the post or page, then tap Aldenté. The app reads the recipe from the caption, the description or the page the post links to, and saves clean ingredients and steps to your library. There is no weekly limit on saving or importing.
Add a recipe by voice, text, photo or link
FreeNo link? Tap + and say the recipe out loud, type it, paste a link, or snap a photo. You see the whole recipe before it's saved, and you can fix anything just by asking.
Save handwritten family recipes
FreeTake a photo of a recipe card and it lives next to your other recipes. You can edit the text, add photos of the dish, and put it in a printed cookbook.
Cookbooks with chapters
FreeFile your saves into cookbooks and chapters, like a trip, a holiday dinner or your weekly go-tos. Share a cookbook by link, or invite someone to co-own it so you both keep adding to it. Anyone can accept a cookbook invite. Sending one is part of Premium.
Cook with a chef who helps
Every recipe comes with a chef you can ask while you cook. It answers like a friend who cooks, not a search box.
Chef chat on every recipe
Sage + 1 chef free, all 7 with Premium"I'm out of shallots." "It looks too thin." "Make this for six." Type your question or tap the mic to talk. There are 7 chefs: Sage, Gordy, Olive, Fleur, Atlas, Honey and Gusto. Free accounts get Sage plus 1 chef you pick.
Your chef remembers your allergies
FreeTell your chef once about your allergies and kitchen notes. It remembers them, and you can edit or undo any change.
Ask your chef to change a saved recipe
FreeAsk for a change and you see the updated recipe right in the chat, with Undo if you want the old one back.
Snap a dish, get the recipe
FreeTake a photo of something you ate and your chef writes a recipe to recreate it.
Recipe cards you can cook from the chat
FreeWhen your chef shares a recipe, it shows up as a live recipe card with step timers and check-offs. Save it to any chapter, or tap Edit first. Premium adds calories on chef recipe cards.
Scale a recipe in one tap
FreeCooking for 2 or 10? The ingredients update right away.
Cook Mode
FreeStep-by-step cooking with step timers and check-offs. Your screen stays awake while you cook, and a text size picker makes the recipe easy to read from across the counter. Every recipe also has tips and variations you can edit.
Plan the week and shop once
Put your saves on a meal plan, add their ingredients to one list, and share it with the people you live with.
Grocery list and pantry
FreeAdd a recipe's ingredients to your grocery list in one tap. Items you've grabbed tuck away. Keep track of what's already in your pantry.
Syncs with Apple Reminders
FreeTurn it on and your grocery list shows up in the Reminders app. Check items off in either place.
Shared household grocery list and meal plan
FreeOne invite shares your grocery list and meal plan with your partner or roommates, so you can split the shop.
One-week meal plan
FreeEvery meal for the week on one page, with the cook time on each card.
Meal plan generation
1 plan free, then PremiumLet your chef build the week for you. Free accounts get 1 plan to try.
Recipe of the day and Discover
FreeDiscover opens with a Recipe of the day picked for your tastes. Quick filters and search find recipes by time, cuisine and what you avoid, and you can follow featured creators.
See what your friends cook
The recipe that changes how you cook usually comes from a friend, not a feed.
Friends feed
FreeFollow friends and family and their cooking fills your feed: cook posts with their photos, a rating and a line about how it went. It's only people you follow, with no influencers you didn't pick.
Save a friend’s recipe in one tap
FreeOpen the recipe from their post, tap the bookmark, and cook it tonight. Heart the dish, comment, or send it on to someone else.
Send recipes to friends and family
FreeSend any recipe to a friend in seconds. Friends can open and save a private recipe you share with them by link.
Print a real cookbook
Turn the recipes you love into a bound book for yourself or as a gift.
Printed cookbooks, ordered from the app
Anyone can orderPick a cookbook, choose the recipes and a cover, and order. Softcover is $29, hardcover $39 and coil-bound $39, each up to 100 pages. Books arrive in about 2 weeks and ship to the US, UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. The app checks your photo quality before you order. You pay per book, and you don’t need Premium.

What Aldenté doesn't do
- No Android app. Aldenté is iPhone and iPad only.
- No web app.
- No YouTube import.
- Imports read captions and links, not spoken audio. A recipe that is only said out loud in a video won’t come through.
