1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using the Aldenté mobile application ("App") and related services, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement.

2. Description of Service

Aldenté is an AI-powered recipe assistant that provides recipe discovery, meal planning, grocery list generation, and related cooking services through our mobile application.

3. Subscription Services

Aldenté offers both free and premium subscription services. Details of available features and any applicable fees are provided within the app and may change from time to time.

• Free Tier: Basic access to recipe chat, limited recipe saves, and basic grocery cart access
• Premium: Access to additional features, enhanced meal planning, and priority support

Subscription terms, features, and pricing are subject to change. Please refer to the app for the most current information.

4. Payment Terms

All in-app payments are processed through Apple's In-App Purchase system. By subscribing to premium services or purchasing creator content within the App, you authorize Apple to charge your payment method for the applicable fees.

Subscription fees and one-time content purchases are non-refundable except as provided by Apple's App Store refund policy. We reserve the right to change pricing for our own services; creator-set pricing for individual cookbooks, recipes, and creator profile subscriptions may be changed by the creator at any time, and existing subscribers are grandfathered at their original price until they cancel.

5. Creator Services

Aldenté offers creators the ability to sell their own cookbooks and recipes, and to offer monthly subscriptions to their profile. Creator Services are subject to the following additional terms:

• Pricing: Creators set their prices from a fixed ladder of price tiers offered by Aldenté. All sales are processed through Apple's In-App Purchase system.
• Platform fee: Aldenté retains a platform fee of 10% of post-Apple revenue from creator sales. Apple separately retains 15–30% per its App Store policies. Creators keep the remainder.
• Payouts: Creator earnings are paid via Stripe Connect after a 30-day refund-hold period and when the creator's balance reaches a $25 minimum threshold. Payouts are initiated daily.
• Refunds and chargebacks: Refunds are processed through Apple. A refunded purchase reduces the creator's balance accordingly. Aldenté is responsible for refunds and chargebacks at the platform level per Stripe Connect terms.
• Tax responsibilities: Creators are responsible for reporting and paying applicable taxes on their earnings. For US-based creators earning $600 or more in a calendar year, an IRS Form 1099-NEC will be issued by January 31 of the following year, either directly by Aldenté or by Stripe on Aldenté's behalf.
• Content responsibilities: Creators are responsible for ensuring their content (recipes, cookbooks, descriptions, images) complies with applicable laws, our Content Guidelines, and Apple's App Store Review Guidelines. Aldenté reserves the right to remove content or restrict creator accounts that violate these policies.
• Account suspension or termination: Aldenté may suspend or terminate creator monetization for violations. In such cases, undisbursed earnings (subject to the refund-hold period) will be paid out per the normal process.
• Stripe Connect terms: By enabling creator payouts, you agree to the Stripe Connected Account Agreement and Stripe's terms applicable to your jurisdiction.

6. Cancellation Policy

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting our support team. Cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period. No refunds will be provided for partial months.

7. User Content

You retain ownership of any content you submit to the App. By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content in connection with the Service.

8. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy, which also governs your use of the Service, to understand our practices.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Recipe suggestions are for informational purposes only and should not replace professional dietary advice.

10. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall Aldenté be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the Service.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes via email or through the App. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
